PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Gathering House is a Scottsdale renovation designed for connection and everyday living. Centered around a reimagined kitchen, this home was created as a place where conversation flows, meals stretch long, and memories are made. An oversized island anchors the space, serving as a prep zone, dining table, and natural gathering point for family and friends.

Layered with deep blues, soft neutrals, and rich textures, the design balances a modern, masculine aesthetic with warmth and livability. Smart appliances, thoughtful lighting, and improved flow throughout the main living areas transform what was once a dated layout into a welcoming desert retreat that feels both intentional and effortless.

Construction was led by our in-house general contracting team, ensuring seamless coordination between trades and design intent.

DESIGN CHALLENGES

The primary focus was reworking the home’s layout to improve flow and functionality while maintaining a cohesive design vision throughout. Like many older Scottsdale homes, the existing floor plan presented challenges, particularly in the kitchen, where structural limitations, minimal pantry space, and awkward traffic patterns made the space feel closed off and inefficient. Through thoughtful planning and strategic adjustments, we were able to open up the layout, enhance circulation, and create a kitchen that feels inviting, connected, and highly functional without compromising the home’s warmth or character.
