Antique Early Staffordshire Circa 1850-60 Purple Brown Two Color Transferware Plate Working Farm Windmill Trellis Eon salad plate red in an Italian portRare 2 Color Transferware Purple and Brown This handsome pattern by George Wooliscroft (1851 1864 Tunstall, Staffordshire), is found on a 12 sided plate. The brown center is complemented with a purple border. This plate shows one of a series of romantic scenes which always include windmills in rural landscapes. The border features six cartouches alternating between windmills and people with horses. Each cartouche is separated by a pretty trellis
